You learn Hindi and we learn Chinese, says Sushma Swaraj to Chinese Foreign Minister

External Minister Sushma Swaraj held bilateral talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi thereby encouraging both the residents of India and China to improve the communication and trade ties by enhancing people-to-people relationships.

Addressing the Chinese students and Hindi Scholars at a Plush Hotel in Beijing, Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj speaks at a programme titled as ‘Contribution of Hindi in India-China Friendship’.

She said, “I want to say that the way India-China relations are strengthening, trade is increasing, and we are working together on international forums, it has become increasingly important that you learn Hindi and we learn Chinese. This way, Indians won’t face any difficulty when they visit China, and the Chinese won’t require an interpreter when they visit India”.

later on, Sushma Swaraj was greeted with the Hindi Poems recited by the Chinese students followed by a speech about the India-China coordination impressing every Indian presented there.

On the occasion, Vice-President of China Institute of International Studies, Rong Ying said, “China and India should continue promoting cultural and people-to-people exchanges and strive to consolidate the social basis of their bilateral relations. It is imperative to promote exchanges and interaction between the two societies, so our competition-dominated mindset is changed into a cooperation-driven one”.

Sushma Swaraj invited 25 Hindi students from China to Visit India in the coming months saying that their dream of visiting India will soon be fulfilled as the Ambassador from India will send a delegation of 25 Hindi students from China to visit on our country.

Taking forward the Diplomatic and strategic ties, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping later this week in Wuhan. The bilateral talks will strengthen interpersonal relationship between both the countries along with cultural exchanges.

There are dozens of prestigious universities which offers Hindi as a language course.
