After ruling the mid-range smartphone market, Xiaomi Mi is ready to give a tough competition to the higher range smartphones with its newly launched Mi Mix 3 in Beijing on Thursday. The attractive part is its debutant cameras updation and 10GB RAM variant option.
In the DxOmark ratings, Xiaomi stands with 103 points thus surpassing the highly demanded smartphones like iPhone X and P20 and going shoulders to shoulders with Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and HTC U 12+. The other MI versions including Mi Mix 2S which is leading with 97 points and Mi 8 with 99 points in the latest DxOmark rankings.
Attached with the four cameras, Mi Mix 3 includes two cameras at the rear side with 12 megapixels wide-angle and front side with the 24-megapixel camera embedded with selfie light support. The selfie camera also comes with AI features, brokeh and beautification effect.
As far as pricing is concerned, Mi Mix 3 comes in three variants – one with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option pricing at Rs 34,800, second one with 8GB + 128GB storage option at Rs 42,100 and last one but the special edition comes with 10GB + 256GB storage option at Rs 52,700. The best part is that it will soon be available for sale at the November month end.
The new Mi Mix 3 comes in color options including Sapphire Blue, Jada Green, and Onyx Black. Comes with Android version 8.1 Oreo, Mi Mix 3 supports dual sim slot and 6.4-inch full HD and OLED panel.
The launching and pricing of the phone in India are not yet decided along with the other markets globally while its 5G variant will be available in Europe next year. Mi Mix 3 will go on sale in China from November 1.
The extraordinary success in the camera features is only because of building a dedicated department for the development and research in mobile camera units.
