Why Kiki Dance challenge is giving sleepless nights to police worldwide

Dancing on the road besides the moving car seems to be life threatening stunt until the Kiki challenge was viral on the social media. It is slowly becoming a mad craze especially among the youth to step out of the moving car with dancing and moving with it. Seeing the viral trend of Kiki Challenge, police worldwide are getting sleepless nights and issue warnings against this stupid craze.

It all started on June 30 when comedian Shiggy posted a video of famous Canadian rapper Drake’s song “Kiki, do you love me?”. He was seen by dancing outside of his slow running car and posted the video on Instagram.

Later on, American footballer Odell Beckham Jr also recorded the same kind of video and it goes viral creating more than millions of videos like this. The trend is still going viral day-by-day especially in India where people are uploading the video of Kiki challenge.

However, the latest Kiki challenge is creating fear among the police as various people are suffering by ignoring the road safety rules. Incidents of people being injured with this challenge is recorded. Some are crashing up with the poles while neglecting it while moving ahead and dancing.

Some also lands up on potholes and in one clip, a woman’s handbag is stolen while she was engaged in Kiki challenge.

Amid of further damage to the public, UP police sent an advisory on Monday which says, “Dear Parents, whether Kiki loves your child or not, we are sure you do! So please stand by your kids in all the challenges in life except #Kiki Challenge”.

Mumbai Police has also warned the public by saying that, “Not just a risk for you but your act can put life of others at risk too. Desist from public nuisance or face the music”!

Police around the world including UAE, USA, Malaysia, Spain have released the same advisory to warn about the dangers of the Kiki challenge.
