The former speculations that it was not a wise decision to simultaneously crash the theatre screen with Harshvardhan Kapoor’s Bhavesh Joshi superhero and his sister, Sonam Kapoor’s movie Veere Di Wedding on June 1 turns out to be true.
The female-oriented movie Veere Di wedding is going on the good flow with the collection of over Rs 36 crore on its first weekend while Bhavesh Joshi Superhero showcasing the genuine problems of the society had just collected Rs 1 crore and less than 50 Lakh on its first day.
1000 screens were planned across the nation for the screening of the Bhavesh Joshi Superhero but due to the negative feedback with 30 to 40% drop from the audience, cinema owners quickly diverted its shows and reassigned the screening of Veere Di Wedding.
A manager from the leading multiplex told to media that, “The morning shows of Bhavesh Joshi Superhero have been cancelled as we hardly had any audience opting for it. We have more shows of Veere Di Wedding instead”.
Its not about only Veere Di Wedding who is competing with Bhavesh Joshi Superhero, but any superhits like Parmanu: The story of Pokhran, Raazi and Deadpool 2 is still going strong at the theatres nationwide.
