At least 46 people including several others injured were found dead after a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus fells into the valley at Kondagattu, Telangana on Tuesday morning.
The bus was travelling to Kondagattu carrying 62 pilgrims when the accident took place. The rescue operation immediately as the senior officials have rushed to the spot. The injured persons are rushed to the nearby hospitals.
All the pilgrims were returning from Sri Anjaneya Swamy temple which is situated at the top of the hills. The temple is witnessing huge crowd these days.
As per the reports, the bus rolled four times before felling into the valley. Telangana CM Chandrasekhar Rao expressed his grief over the accident and asked the officials to provide every need to the injured. He has announced Rs 5 lakh for the families of the dead.
The officials who rushed immediately to the accident spot include Jagityal district SP Sindhu Sharma, district collector Sharath and Karimnagar in-charge minister Eatala Rajendra for the rescue operations.
The incident took place around 11:45 am noon and break failure is considered as one of the reason for the accident.
