Suspended doctor Kafeel Khan’s brother shot near Gorakhnath Temple

The accused of the BRD Medical College, Dr Kafeel Khan’s Brother Kashif Jameel was shot three times by the unidentified persons on Sunday night near 500 away from the famous Gorakhnath Temple.

Ghanshyam Tiwari, SHO of Kotwali police said, “Jameel told us that two men on a motorcycle stopped him at around 10.30 pm near Durga Vahini crossing and fired three rounds at him. The assailants escaped on their motorcycle”.

Kashif Jameel owns an inverter battery shop and was going back to home when three unidentified persons fired bullets at him and he was hit at his upper arm, chin and neck followed by which he was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital in Gorakhpur.

However, Dr Kafeel Khan said that they would try to kill us. He added, “My brother has been shot. I always knew they would try to kill us”.

Kafeel also blames the police for the delay in the treatment by posting a video where he says that, “It took an hour to file medico-legal case. Police again insisted that the medical college will file the medico-legal and a board will be constituted and after that, you will get the clearance”.

Dr kafeel Khan was one of the accused of the BRD Medical tragedy for illegally running a private health clinic beside practising in a government hospital. He was sent to jail on September 2017 but released on bail on April by the high court.
