Shivpal Yadav is all set to go alone for the upcoming 2019 election by taking a different path from his brother Mulayam Singh Yadav and nephew Akhilesh Yadav. He has recently approached the Election Commission to apply for the registration of his new party.
As per the sources, Shivpal Yadav will launch his new party name as Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (PSP) and it will be officially declared to compete with the already established party in the next month.
This is not the first time when Shivpal Yadav is going on the different path from his brother as he has already applied for the new party registration back in 2017 but distracted with the fight with the nephew Akhilesh Yadav, the founder of Samajwadi Secular Morcha (SSM) turned down.
Along with the new party name, Shivpal Yadav also applied for the new symbol for his separated party as the wheel with high secrecy and even number of the old Samajwadi members have already moved to SSM.
Speaking about the formation of the new Shivpal led the party, he said that he had waited for two long years to take this decision and his party will oppose any candidate in the opposition barring his brother Mulayam Singh Yadav.
Shivpal Yadav said, “The time for patch-up or any understanding with SP leadership has gone; I have waited for two good years before taking this decision. Barring Netaji, the Samajwadi Secular Morcha will not support any candidate even if he/she is from your family”.
Talking about the further planning for the upcoming 2019 Election, Shivpal Yadav said that, “We are busy expanding our base and more people and leaders are willing to join us in our Secular Morcha. Our new political Party will play a significant role in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. We will play a prominent role in strengthening the secular block against the BJP”.
