Samsung has finally announced the launch date of its latest upcoming phone Samsung Galaxy S10. Samsung Galaxy S10 will be unveiled on February 20th at a special Unpacked event in San Francisco. The Galaxy S10 will mark ten years of the Galaxy S series from Samsung, which is the company’s flagship offering.
Samsung Galaxy S10 will be available in three variants that are Galaxy S10, S10+ and S10 Lite.
The phone will have the 5G network support. The Samsung Galaxy S10 series will get newer kind of display, what Samsung calls ‘the Infinity-o-display.’
The smartphone is expected to come with a large 5.8-inch OLED curved display. Samsung has made some of the radical changes including an on-screen fingerprint sensor, faster processor most likely 855 processor (US market) or the Exynos 9820 processor (markets like India) and unique six-camera setup. The Samsung Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus will feature in-display fingerprint scanners, the former smartphone will come with only one front camera sensor housed inside the punch-hole display. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus is shown with a dual front camera module based on the punch-hole display design.
The newly launched Exynos 9820 SoC comes with 8nm LPP (Low Power Plus) FinFET process and an integrated NPU for on-device AI processing which results in a performance boost of 15 per cent along with an increased power efficiency of up to 40 per cent.
The Galaxy S10 will also have a single front camera. The Galaxy S10 Plus and Galaxy S10 lite will all have dual-front cameras. The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite will be powered by a 3,100mAh battery, the Samsung Galaxy S10 6.1-inch display will be powered by a 3,500mAh battery, and the larger Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus will be powered by 4,000mAh battery.
Galaxy S10 will offer 12GB storage and will cost Rs. 62,815, the regular S10 + will offer 128GB or 512GB storage and will priced at Rs.89,822, respectively, and the S10 Plus will offer 128GB, 512GB and 1TB variants which will be priced at Rs.80,808.
