After receiving a splendid positive response of the Netflix’s first series of Sacred Games, chances are highly that the next Sacred Games Season 2 will be out soon.
Although there is no official announcement of the Sacred Games Season 2, actor Saif Ali Khan playing the role of police officer Sartaj singh said that the shooting will start from September this year.
Saif Further added that, “Yes, we should be out with one season every year, if that’s the way ahead”.
Sacred Games is based on Vikram Chandra’s Epic novel consisting of 1,000 pages and the Sacred Games Season 1 is an adaption of the first quarter of the book displaying scenes of Bombay.
Season one saw Sartaj, a police officer who received a threatening call from an unknown person later identified as criminal Ganesh Eknath Gaitonde (Nawazuddinn Siddiqui).
The final episode of sacred Games saw Sartaj snatching criminal Ganesh Eknath Gaitonde before the warning of the 25 days but without concluding to find the truth.
However, there is speculation that Vikramaditya Motwane will not be directing the Sacred Games Season 2 as Saif Ali Khan told to media that, “It might be a little premature to say, but I don’t think he’s directing the second season. I Think he was under so much pressure that he didn’t have any fun”.
By starring big actors like Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sacred Games Season 1 has diverted large crowd towards Netflix streaming app and giving a tough competition to the Bollywood movies on the big screen.
According to the vice-president of Netflix, Eric Barmack, “India is seeing the biggest and fastest investment in content for any country we have launched in”.
