Royal Enfield launched a new cosmetic version of Thunderbird 350X and Thunderbird 500X whose ancestors are already in the market since 2000.
The new versions of the bike include quirks like alloys and day time running lights which will give a modern look in place of a standard version. It will come in black, stone, marine, lightning.
Royal Enfield have updated the classic version of the Redditch Edition with three new vibrant colours which includes Red, Green and blue. Thunderbird 500X is launched with Gateway Orange and Drifter Blue colours and Thunderbird 350X will be out in colours like Roving Red and Whimsical white.
The head lamp cluster of the new Thunderbird 500X includes a day time running LED. Both the versions of the thunderbird will be in the form of 9-spoke alloys and blacked out engine, fork covers and smoked headlamps.
With the new thunderbird, a lower and shorted handlebar has been opted by the Royal Enfield. It has a single seat for other the passengers unlikely the standard version which has two separate seats.
The 346cc engine has 19.8 bhp of power with 5,250 rpm and peak torque of 28 Nm at 4,000rpm. An additional feature of the five-speed gearbox is mated in the engine. At 4,000 rpm torque, the engine makes 27.2 bhp at 5,250 rpm and 41.3 Nm.
The prices of both the Thunderbird 350X and Thunderbird 500X is more than the standard versions that were on sale. Thunderbird 500X will cost at Rs 1.98 lakh while the Thunderbird 350X will be at an estimate of Rs 1.56 lakh.
