PDP reverts back on Doval’s remark on separate constitution on Jammu and Kashmir

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) reverts backs on National Security Advisor Ajit Doval’s remark for saying that a separate constitution for Jammu and Kashmir as an aberration. PDP leader Rafi Mir said the remark as “Unwarranted” and may create political turmoil.

Rafi Mir said, “Such infections and Unwarranted remarks of Doval when Kashmir is reeling under trouble and witnessing a political turmoil, shows the insensitivity of NSA towards the people of Kashmir”.

He further added, “It is unfortunate that a when a muslim majority state rejected the two nation theory and went on to accede to a Hindu majority nation with trust, we are being harassed and pushed to the wall by these assaults on our state’s special status”.

Ajit Doval at the launching of a book said that the separate constitution for Jammu and Kashmir was an aberration. The launching was of a book on India’s first Home minister, sardar Vallabhai Patel.

Doval said that sovereignty “Cannot be diluted and ill-defined” and further added that “British left, probably they did not to leave India as a strong sovereign state”.

At the launching Doval said that Patel in advance could the Britishers planning of separating the Indians on the basis of caste.

Doval  said, “His contributing is not about the merger of the states, it is only a means to an end. The thing was that to make a sovereign state in which there was the sovereignty of the people was established in the constitution, which is applicable to the whole of it. Probably with Jammu and Kashmir, where the constitution was in a truncated form. Another constitution of J&K continued to exist, which is an aberration”.
