Pakistan’s ‘Chaiwala’ turns out to be millionaire with assets worth Rs 30 million

A Pakistan’s ‘Chaiwala’ or Tahreek-e-Insaf MNA-elected member turns out to be a millionaire with everyone’s surprise after the documents submitted to the Pakistan’s Election commission. He was reported to be a ‘Chaiwala’ during the election campaign.

According to the report by the Election Commission of Pakistan, Gul Zafar Khan who won the recently held Pakistani election from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa submitted all his documents thus disclosing the assets worth of over Rs 30 million.

Zafar Khan owns a garment business with the immovable property costs Rs 10 million. According to the documents submitted to the Election commission, he also owns two houses and agricultural land worth of about 12 million.

With a non-custom pad vehicle and 10 tola gold, Zafar khan has two million in his bank deposits and household items worth of Rs 10 lakhs.

Before having the ticket of Tahreek-e-Insaf, Zafar Khan works as a tea seller in a Rawalpindi hotel and a video became viral ahead of July 25 polls showing him to serve the tea.

He said, “This is my job and I have been appointed as the MNA from here”.

After winning the election, Zafar khan told that his main focus will be to impart education to all and improve basic institutions.

Tahreek-e-Insaf emerged as the winning party after the July 25 results of election followed by which party’s supremo Imran Khan became the country’s next Prime Minister and will take the oath on August 18.
