Nawaz Sharif’s grandson Junaid will soon be seen as campaign for the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) for the July 25 general elections thus becoming the first member of the Nawaz’s family to enter in the political activities.
Junaid Safdar who is studying politics at UK University reached Pakistan on Sunday to meet his jailed grandfather Nawaz Sharif, mother Maryam Sharif and father Capt. (retd) M Safdar at the Adiala Jail In Rawalpandi.
Nawaz Sharif, 68 and his daughter Maryam, 44 were arrested in Lahore on July 13 on the allegation of corruption when he arrived from the London on the airport. Junaid is in early’s 20 were displayed in pictures and posters around the areas of Sharif’s residence. He will addressed corner meetings of the party in Lahore and Rawalpandi.
The official said, “Though many PML-N candidates are yearning to invite Junaid in their respective campaigns, it’s being planned to arrange corner meetings in several constituencies including the one where his mother had planned to contest before her disqualification”.
According to one of the party’s high official if Nawaz and his daughter will be denied bail during the campaign, it is possible that video messages of both jailed party member will be released.
Earlier, Sharif’s younger brother Shahbaz talked about the abysmal condition under which Nawaz Sharif is kept.
He said, “I want to draw your attention to the abysmal conditions under which Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Former prime minister of Pakistan is languishing in the high-security Adiala jail in Rawalpandi”.
