‘No Special treatment would be given to Qaidi No. 106/Salman Khan’- Jodhpur Jail Superintendent

Salman Khan was labelled as Qaidi no. 106 in jodhpur Central Jail as he was convicted to five years imprisonment for the long back 1998 Blackbuck Poaching case for killing two blackbucks 20 years ago.

Vikram Singh, Jodhpur Jail superintendent addressed media and said that no special treatment would be given to the superstar and he will be given a simple bed and a rug with cooler in his cell.

Singh said, “Salman was given normal jail diet like Dal chapatti and the morning meal will include simple khichdi”.

However, the actor refused to eat the food and ask for a check-up while complaining the blood pressure issue but after doctor’s check-up, he was declared as normal. A threat was reported to Salman on which the singh said, “We are thinking of keeping him with some other prisoners from tomorrow so that he is not alone considering the threat to him”.

Actor-turned politician Jaya Bachchan speaks about Salman’s conviction and said that the punishment given was harsh.

She said, “I feel bad. He should be given relief. He has done a lot of humanitarian work”. However, the following statement led to the social media’s controversy stating it biased.

The Animal rights activist were happy with the verdict and considered it as justice with killed endangered species. Gauri Maulekhi, the animal rights activist said, “We are happy that justice has prevailed, and a serial offender is behind the bars. The judiciary has once again proved that the popularity of the accused has no bearing on the case before the court”.

Salman have already spent fourth stint in Jodhpur Central Jail. Earlier, he spent jail sentenced in 1998, 2006 and 2007 in poaching case. Now, he has kept adjacent to the culprit and rape accused Asaram Bapu.

Salman’s lawyer Hastimal Saraswat have prepared the bail papers including 54 grounds for the judge and if the bail is denied by the district court, they will approach to the Rajasthan High court. The bail hearing will be done today.
