Just after a day the Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis give a confirmation to give reservations to the Maratha group by end of this November, the community are still not satisfied and want a written undertaking from the CM and the Chief Secretary thus ready to go for Maharashtra Band again on tomorrow
Despite of the several confirmation, Maratha groups refused to call off their protest demanding reservation in jobs and education system.
Raghunath Chitre Patil, convenor of the Marathi Kranti Morcha said, “We will not back down the protest until we get a written undertaking from the Chief Minister and the Chief Secretary that the quota would be implemented by November end”.
Learning from the past damage suffered by the state with the protest, Maharashtra Government asked Union Government for the help of 15 companies of central armed police forces including six rapid Action Force (RAF) companies and Industrial Security Force (CISF) company.
The national security forces will be deployed in several parts of Maharashtra including Navi Mumbai, Thane, Aurangabad, Nanded and Western Maharashtra as well as Schools are directed to be closed on the parts of Amravati.
However, Bombay High Court asked the Maratha community to not to take serious steps like committing suicides or violence for the demand of the reservation.
