Lata Mangeshkar, Alka Yagnik burst in anger with trends of remixes

The trend of mixing the old classic and evergreen songs with the new ones is not a new thing for the audience but it is slowly enlarging its leg to a large scale. This may sounds cool for many but definitely seems not to be okay with the legendary singers of Bollywood like Lata Mangeshkar and Alka Yagnik who thinks that it is not a creativity to mix the old classic songs with the new lyrics.

The anger for the increasing trend of remix From Lata Mangeshkar arise when she was asked to listen the remix of epic song ‘chalte chalte’ in the new movie, Mitron starring Jackky Bhagnani and Kritika Kamra.

The old epic song Chalte chalte was sung by Lata Mangeshkar in movie Pakeezah and feel herself lucky to not hear the new remix of song from Mitron Movie.

She said, “And I don’t want to hear it. This trend of remixing old songs saddens me. Where is the creativity in simply lifting acknowledged, beloved classics and shuffling the notes around? I’ve even heard that the lyrics are changed in the remixes. By whose consent”.

Followed by Lata Mangeshkar, singer Alka Yagnik was also saddened by the remix of her original song Dilbar Dilbar from Satyamev Jayate. She said that instead of picking the old songs and making remixes, make a new song”.

Alka yagnik said, “Why don’t make a new song and make it a superhit if they can, instead of picking up an already superhit song, distorting it, and releasing it again…and then saying”.

She further added, “Chalo humaare gaanon k saath zulam kartey hain (They do this with our songs) but their audacity is increasing by the day. Now they’ve started doing this to Lata Didi’s song as well”.

Mitron is directed by Flimistan maker Nitin Kakkar and directed by Abundantia Entertainment. The movie is expected to be released on 14th September 2018.
