Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav was discharged from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Monday afternoon. The AIIMS director said that his condition has improved significantly even if the RJD party members alleges that the discharge is just a conspiracy to murder him.
In a statement AIIMS said, “Lalu Prasad was referred from Ranchi Medical College to AIIMS for management of his acute medical condition. He has improved significantly and as per advice of the medical board constituted for his treatment, he is being referred to Ranchi Medical College for management of his chronic issues. He is currently stable and is fit to travel”.
Lalu prasad Yadav is serving a jail term for the fodder scam case since December 23 but on March 17, he had been admitted to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Ranchi followed by the complaints of uneasiness at the Birsa Munda jail.
Later on, he was admitted to AIIMS hospital on March 29 for the specialised treatment under the observation of medical team comprising six doctors. He was kept in the VIP room of AIIMS, Delhi after which he cited various ailments like kidney infection, high BP, heart problem and said that he should not be discharged from there and sent back to RIMS as they do not have proper facilities required for the treatment.
However, RJD supremo said that AIIMS will be responsible if something mishappening happens to him after he is sent back to RIMS.
MP Jai Prakash Narayan Yadav said that AIIMS is discharging Lalu Yadav under pressure of high agencies like CBI. He further added that, “It seems there is conspiracy to murder him. Why they are discharging him when he is not fit”.
Bihar former Chief Minister was held for four fodder scam cases and sentenced to 14 years of jail by the special CBI court.
