JEE Advance Result out: Haryana’s boy Pranav Goyal topped, Meenal Parekh female topper

Pranav Goyal from Haryana’s Panchkula has topped the Joint entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced examination that was declared on Sunday and Kota’s Meenal Parekh has emerged as the female topper.

The JEE Advance exam conducted on May 20 is National level entrance examination for the 11,279 seats available in Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) conducted in two phase– one is Mains conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and another advance level conducted by one of the IITs (IITs Kanpur this year).

Around 1,55,158 qualified candidates of Mains exams appeared for the advance out of which 18,138 candidates could make up to the required cut-off.

The result for the JEE Advance was announced on Sunday Morning in which Haryana Panchkula’s boy Pranav Goyal topped the exam securing 337 out of 360 marks followed by Sahil Jain who stood up at the second position and kalash Gupta from Delhi secured the third position.

Pranav Goyal is the son of a businessman and has secured 97.2% in class 12 board examination. Talking about his past hurdles and motivation, he said, “A lot of hard work went into it. A lot of motivation and guidance from my teachers and parents helped me clear the hurdles. A planned approach is the key to success. I was aiming to be among 10, but towards the end I wanted to be rank 1”.

Pranav wants to study Computer Science Engineering at IIT Bombay and want to be at the top in future also with his mantra of ‘fun and focus’.

He added, “If you focus well, the number of hours you put in don’t matter. I tried not to be stressed and took regular breaks. When I was studying, I wasn’t thinking about breaks, and when I was on break, I didn’t stress about studies”.

Meenal Parekh emerged as the female topper with 318 marks and her overall ranking in JEE is 6. Mavuri Siva Krishna Manohar from Vijaywada is the OBC category topper and Aayush Kadam from Kota and Jatoth Shiva Tarun from Hyderabad are the toppers from SC and ST category respectively.

The counselling process will be started from June 15 for which the candidates have to register for choosing the preferred seats and the final allotment process will begin from June 27 till July 18.
