IPL 2018: KKR vs RR, KKR won by six wickets, Kuldeep Yadav and Dinesh Karthik shines brightly

On Tuesday, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) did an outstanding play-off by winning over Rajasthan Royals (RR) by six wickets. KKR’s win is largely supported by the two members of the team, Captain Dinesh Karthik and bowler Kuldeep Yadav who have marked their memorable performance in batting as well as bowling respectively at the Eden Garden, Kolkata.

In the ongoing IPL 2018, Dinesh Karthik has been emerged as the highest run getter with 412 runs in 13 matches all over. In the last match, he made unbeaten 41 runs with a brilliant stumping of all-rounder Stuart Binny in the 12th over of RR’s innings. This was not the first time when Dinesh stunned everyone with his sharp stumping skills as in the last match against RR, his work behind the stumps left Ajinkya Rahane grabbled.

Another player of Kolkata Knight Riders who gave his career-best performance in the last match is Kuldeep Yadav who took 4 wickets by giving 20 runs. Before this, the young bowler was quite silent with just nine wickets in the 12 outings but diverting his path, he emerges as the hero of the match in the last match.

The motivation behind his different performance as according to him is the presence of the legendary Australian spinner Shane Warne.

At the post match conference, he said, “I’m always a big fan of him. He has been my idol. I always get a different kind of motivation when I play in front of him. I wanted to put up a good show in front of him”.

In the last match he took back to back 4 wickets all over. Firstly, he sends Ajinkya Rahane back with the help of the captain Dinesh with a googly and them attacked on Jos Buttler.

In the coming overs, another googly was stumped which took Stuart Binny on the losing side with the wickets of Ben Stokes.

Going with the wave of motivation from the spinner Shane Warne, Kuldeep asked for the tips from the legend after he said, “I discussed with him after the match. I have already started my planning for the upcoming England series. But it was a brief conversation. Maybe after the IPL, I will again get a chance to talk to him”.

On May 19, KKR will head to Hyderabad for the next match against Sunrisers Hyderabad for the last-round.
