iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus RED edition is finally launched is India today. The red-black fancy combination of the new iPhone makes it a way different from the basic edition of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus launched in 2017.
The Apple has launched iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus RED edition worldwide earlier this month. It was launched as a part of Apple’s partnership with RED which is an advocacy group dedicated to fight HIV/AIDS in South Africa, Swaziland, Kenya, Zambia, Tanzania, Rwanda, Lesotho and Ghana.
iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus Red edition comes with the edition base of 64GB, 128GB and 256 GB. iPhone 8 Plus RED edition base of 64GB variant starts at Rs 77,560 while the 256 GB model comes in Rs 91,110. iPhone 8 RED edition price in India starts at Rs 67,940 for the 64GB variant while for 128GB Variant will be available at Rs 81,500.
Apple’s vice-president of product marketing Greg Joswiak earlier said while launching that, “This special edition RED iPhone features a stunning red and black combination and also offers customers the opportunity to make an impact in fighting the spread of HIV and AIDS”.
The highlights of the new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus RED edition is that it supports wireless charging with glass back panels which is different from the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus metal back.
iPhone 8 Plus have dual 12 MP cameras supporting portrait mode. Both iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus features Retina HD display comes with iOS 11. They also have Next-Gen A11 Bionic chip.
