The ‘Dancing Uncle’ who is breaking internet on every social media platform for the last three days has been appointed as the brand ambassador of the Madhya Pradesh Vidisha Municipal Corporation. Professor Sanjeev Srivastava aged 46 is grabbing not only the attention of common public nationwide, but also the popular Bollywood celebs and politicians with his viral dancing video.
A viral video showing his dancing moves inspired by the dancing king Govinda is going viral on every social media platform like WhatsApp, Facebook and twitter.
The video was shot on a family function in Gwalior on May 12 where Sanjeev was seen dancing on the song “Aap Ke Aa Jane Se” from the movie “Khudgarz” starring Govinda and Neelam. Recently, a new video was also uploaded by him on the song “Soni De Nakhre” of the movie “Partner”.
Overwhelmed and shocked by the huge response from everyone, Mr Srivastava said, “This is an unreal feeling. I can’t believe my dance video has gone viral. I thank everyone for the love and support. I have been dancing since 1982 and my idol is Govinda ji. Now I hope to get more opportunities”.
His fan following now includes Bollywood celebrities like Raveena Tandon, Arjun Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Dia Mirza, Divya Dutt and Sandhya Menon.
Even the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh praises Srivastava’s electrifying performance by twitting, “Professor Shri Shrivastav ji, who has been working in Bhopal, has created a massive sensation over the internet in the whole of India. Believe it or not, there is something special in the water of Madhya Pradesh”.
Within a few days, Sanjeev has gained immense popularity that his phone has not stopped ringing and he had to appoint his childhood friend turned manager for handling interviews and photo ops.
He said, “Just now we got a call from Sunil Shetty. I have attended more than 100 calls in just an hour. It’s kind of crazy”.
