Telangana polls are going to be held on December 7 in a single phase and results will be declared on December 11. TRS is likely to retain power in the state with 70 seats. The Congress is likely to pocket 31 seats while its ally Chandrababu Naidu-led Telugu Desam Party is expected to bag just 2 seats. It predicted 8 seats for Owaisi’s party and 3 for BJP. The Telangana Legislative Assembly has 119 seats. In the campaign in Telangana, Yogi Adityanath warned AIMIM (All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen) leader Asaduddin Owaisi. While addressing an election rally at Tandur town of Vikarabad district which borders Hyderabad, he also targeted the Congress and TRS of K Chandrasekhar Rao as he spelt out differences between BJP and others saying his party does not discriminate between caste, creed, and religion while drafting policies. He also said that Congress, TRS are indulged in Muslim’s by making religion a foundation for making schemes for them.
In the election campaign, Yogi Adityanath said that “If BJP comes to power, I assure you Owaisi will have to flee from Telangana the same way Nizam was forced to run away from Hyderabad,” He also said that Owasi’s party has influence in areas in and around Hyderabad. The Telangana has 119 seats out of this at least 24 seats come under Greater Hyderabad. Out of these seats, 7 seats are considered to be the stronghold of AIMIM. Owaisi also said that his party workers will support TRS candidates on rest on the seats.
Pointing congress and TRS, Yogi Adityanath said that “Congress and TRS are playing with the interests of people in and once more they would make efforts to take the State towards Nizamshahi.”
He also opined that “Congress policies are divisive, with wrong intentions”.
On Ram Mandir case he also said that “If anyone is creating an obstruction in the way of construction of Ram Mandir, it is Congress.”
