Hyderabad gone crazy with opening of Ikea’s first mega store

The city of Hyderabad gone crazy yesterday with the mega opening of Swedish home furnishing player IKEA’s first store for the first time in India as thousands of people rushed to a single direction to shop to the mega store.

The opening time of 10am to the closing time of 11 pm, the shopping outlet marked the huge crowd and swell to an amazing numbers. With the turnout of the people, the social media was also flooded with the trolls, pictures and comments showing the huge crowd struggling to get into the crowd.

However, police has immediately released an advisory to all those heading towards the IKEA store.

People visiting the store shared their experience with the media by saying that IKEA India is no way different from the international stores at Sweden, US or Singapore.

Rajini Venugopal, first customer at the store explained his experience by saying that, “The best part is that this store looks the same as IKEA’s other global stores. The experience is the same”.

Venugopal got the precious opportunity to cut the ribbon by standing behind the higher dignitaries like Telangana industries and IT minister K T Rama Rao, IKEA’s global CEO Jesper Brodin, Sweden’s ambassador to India, Klas Molin.

The one who had shopped at the IKEA showroom in Sweden feels the same collection in the India outlet.

Naveen Chintala who worked at US-based telecommunications firm find the store as same the Swedish outlet.

He said, “I have shopped at an IKEA store in Sweden and was curious about their store in India would look like. It feels the same. I never expected this kind of collection of products and I am surprised”.

IKEA showroom is equipped with multiple stuffs ranging from crockery, cookware, textiles, cutlery, mattresses. The main highlights is the toy section packed with colourful soft toys in huge shelves.

The store consist of the competitive prices products with elegant furniture, home décor items and colourful accessories and for those who prefer rest at the restaurant or food chaos with a cup of coffee or samosa, IKEA is the perfect place to visit.
