Google launch new Android 9 Pie, focus on Artificial intelligence

Google has finally launch its much awaited new Android version after Oreo and named it as Android 9 Pie. It will be compatible to Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones. with the launching of new Android, the main focus is on Artificial intelligence.

With the Android 9 Pie, Google says that the idea will to motivate the ‘digital wellbeing’ of the users by letting them know the time they spend on apps and monitor their usage on apps.

Android 9 Pie comes with the size of nearly 1.173 GB which ensures the proper downloading with stable wi-fi rather than relying on cellular data. However, for the other android smartphones including Xiaomi, Sony, Vivo, OnePlus, HMD Global and Oppo, Google will soon receive this update by end of the year.

The highlights of Android 9 Pie are the new adaptive battery and brightness supported by Artificial intelligence. It will learn the user’s activity on the individual apps and in case of maximum usage, new android will adjust battery accordingly in that particular app.

Similarly, this new technology will limit the battery usage for the less used apps. It comes with the new navigation system and has a single home button in the screen. Android 9 Pie has similar swipes and gestures as on Apple iPhone X.

The other modifications on Android 9 Pie includes editing in the screenshots, improved volume controls and renewed notifications panel.

The concept of digital well-being is well understood by the fact that user can set the limit on the usage of apps and the moment the limit is over, the app’s icon will be greyed out.

As far as security is concerned, Android 9 Pie launched Industry-leading hardware security capabilities which will protect sensitive data like credit cards with its dedicated chip. In order to keep web communications private, Android 9 Pie comes with privacy improvements.
