Gangster Munna Bajrangi murdered in Baghpat jail

Dreadful criminal Munna Bajrangi has been shot dead in the district jail premises of Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh on Monday and he was supposed to be produced in the court this morning.

The Uttar Pradesh gangster, Munna Bajrangi who was accused for the murder of the Bharatiya Janta party (BJP) leader Krishnanand Rai was shifted from Jhansi to Baghpat jail on Sunday.

When asked about the incident, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, “Such an incident occurring inside the jail premises is a serious matter. We will conduct an in-depth investigation and strict action will be taken against those responsible”.

Earlier, Munna Bajrangi’s wife Seema Singh also claimed that his life has a threat from the rivals group and conspiracy was being hatched to kill Munna Bajrangi in a fake encounter. She, however requested Yogi to take immediate steps for his protection.

Born in Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh, Munna Bajrangi was originally known as Prem Prakash Singh. He gave up education after class 5 after which he wanted to become like a Bollywood gangster and at a tender age of 17, Munna Bajrangi was filed against the case of violence and possession of illegal arms.

Later on, he joined Gairaj Singh who was a dreadful gangster from Jaunpur and committed his first murder in 1984. Munna Bajrangi become a part of Mukhtar Ansari’s gang in 1990 and in 1996, Ansari became an MLA from Mau.

However, things do not go well for the gang with the rise of another arch rival Krishnanand Rai who began to flourish thus posing a threat for the Ansari gang.

Offended by the Krishnanand’s rise, Ansari ordered Bajrangi to sweep the rivals followed by which Munna Bajrangi attacked Rai’s convoy on Lucknow Highway with AK47 on November 29, 2005 and Krishnanand was killed in the horrific attack with six others as each person was hit by 60-100 bullets.

Till that time, Munna Bajrangi was listed as the most wanted criminal with the bounty of Rs 7 lakh as Uttar Pradesh Police, Special Task Force and Central Bureau of Investigation was after him.

On October 2009, he was arrested by team of Delhi Police from Malad area in Mumbai while some believe that he himself mastermind his arrest with the fear of encounter. After which, he confessed that he had killed at least 40 people in a span of 20 years.
