Former Indian PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee who has been ailing for long was admitted at AIIMS yesterday followed by the complaints of lower tract infection and kidney issues. He was admitted in the ICU and has been going for the dialysis now.
PM Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Health Minister JP Nadda, Congress president Rahul Gandhi and other leaders visit him to check the on-Vajpayee’s health. AIIMS director Randeep Guleria who is a pulmonologist and has been personally treating Vajpayee for years is supervising his treatment now.
A statement released by the AIIMS hospital said, “He has been admitted for examination and management. He is stable. A team of doctors, under the supervision of AIIMS Director Randeep Guleria, are conducting tests on the 93-year-old leader”.
A host of leaders including PM Modi, Amit Shah, Rajnath singh, LK Advani, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Rajnath Singh, MM Joshi and Rahul Gandhi paid visits to the ailing senior leader. PM Modi spent almost 1 hour in the hospital to check his health, met Vajpayee’s family and the consultant doctors thereby enquiring the health of the former PM.
After visiting Vajpayee, Union Health minister spoke to media by saying that, “He is fine, there is nothing to worry”.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Madhya Pradesh CM said, “I pray to god for the speedy recovery of Atal Bihari Vajpayee who have always inspired us to fight against hardship. The whole country is waiting for you to return healthy from AIIMS”.
BJP workers in Kanpur is conducting ‘havan’ for the Vajpayee’s good health. Security personnel have been deployed at the hospital to manage the media and crowd gathered outside the AIIMS hospital.
