FIFA World Cup 2018: sweeping England out, Crotia finally made it to the finals

It was barely five minutes when the match was started but with much surprise, England’s Kieran tripper gave a free-kick but it couldn’t manage the England team to go for the finals of the FIFA World Cup 2018 as Ivan Peisic first equalises the game and Later on, Mario Mandzukic scored the winning goal.

Both the teams were playing the semi-finals for the first time and England took a fifth minute lead through Kieran Trippier’s free kick but Crotians were not disheartened and collected all their strength after the second-half by equalising the match with Ivan Perisic which is not enough for the team and they finally made it to the finals with Mario Mandzukic wining stroke at the 109th minute.

For a less populous country like Crotia, it will matter much more to enter into the finals for the first time in the history since Uruguay made it to the finals long back in 1950.

However, England captain Harry kane couldn’t hide his disappointment after losing and breaking their dream of FIFA title this year.

He said, “We’re gutted. It hurts, it hurts a lot. It’s going to hurt for a while of course. We can hold our heads up high. It’s been a fantastic journey, we got further than anyone else thought we would have”.

The biggest winner of the night emerged as France who defeated Belgium yesterday and got an extra day for the Sunday’s final. It will be interesting to know that who win the FIFA World Cup title now on Sunday.
