It has been raining of medals on the CWG 2018, 8th day as wrestler Sushil Kumar clinched the Gold in the freestyle 74Kg wrestling and his junior Rahul Aware bagged the gold at the freestyle 57Kg while female wrestler Babita Kumari settles for silver in women’s Freestyle 53Kg.
The Indian wrestlers burst at the very initial level while carrying forward the impressive performance and medal tally increase, shooters and shuttlers are ready to make India proud.
Wrestler Sushil Kumar wins his first gold medal at the CWG 2018, 8th day in the wrestling Freestyle 74Kg category. The two-time Olympic winner adds another feather in his cap by defeating South Africa’s Johannes Botha. He dominates Botha in the very first round by 10-0.
The 23 yrs old wrestler Rahul Aware wins 13th gold medal in the freestyle 57Kg category by defeating Canada’s Steven Tekahashi with a score of 15-7. He was awarded with six points in the first bout while nine points in the second one against Tekahashi’s Four and three respectively.
President ram Nath Kovind tweeted for the win of Rahul. He said, “Delighted to know that Rahul Aware has won gold in the Men’s Freestyle 57Kg at CWG 2018, 8Th day, many congratulations”.

India gets its 9th bronze through Kiran who succeed in women’s freestyle 76Kg event while veteran shooter Tejaswini Sawant adds up silver medal for India.
In the shooting event, the 26-year-old Delhiite Shreyasi Singh clinched gold in the double trap event on Thursday. She has done exceptionally well in the last round by winning against Australian shooter Emma Cox who was ahead in all other previous round.
With this, India stands at the third position in CWG 2018, 8th day having total of 29 medals including 14 gold, 6 silver and 9 bronze.
