Bollywood’s actor Salman Khan the other star cast of the movie ‘Hum Sath Sath Hai’ including actors Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam will be present in the Jodhpur court today for the verdict of 1998 Black Buck poaching case.
The ‘Tiger Zinda hai’ actor has been charged under section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act while the actors will be charged under IPC section 149 (unlawful assembly) of the Indian penal code.
Bhawani Singh Bhati, the public prosecutor said, “All of them were in gypsy car that night, with Salman Khan in the driving seat. He, on spotting on a herd of black bucks, shot at and killed two of them”.
He said there was no adequate evidence against them on being fled away from the situation after shooting the animal and leaving it dead.
However, H M Saraswat, Salman Khan’s counsel denied all the allegations against him.
He said, “Prosecution has failed to prove the allegations. It engaged in tampering and fabricating evidence and documents as well as roping in fake witnesses to prove its case.It even failed to prove that the blackbucks were killed by gunshots. Hence, such investigation cannot be trusted”.
The case two more accused, Dinesh Gawre, Salman Khan’s assistant and Dushyant Singh who was supposed to be as the tourist guide.
The Rajasthan High Court had already acquitted Salman Khan in the Blackbuck Poaching case stating that there was no evidence that the animal was shot by the actor’s licensed gun.
Actor Saif Ali khan were found to lose the temper over media questions on Wednesday. When asked about the case, he gets annoyed and snapped his driver by saying that, “Sheesha upar karo aur reverse karlo varna pdega ek”.
In September 1998 Salman khan is also found guilty of killing two chinkara and a blackbuck along with the Arms Act. The actor is currently working on the Race 3 movie.
