BJP may form government in J&K with PDP MLAs, Independents

BJP is planning to join hands with rebel members of People Democratic Party (PDP) and other independent members to form its government in Jammu and Kashmir after the Amarnath Yatra Ends. The news comes out when BJP held meeting with PDP members.

As per the reports, if BJP is successful is making the government in J&K, then Governor NN Vohra will be replaced by some other political figure.

The move come immediately after BJP step down with the resign of the chief minister Mehbooba Mufti in the early June month. In the 87-member assembly, her party has 28 seats while BJP has 25.

However, the long back battle between the two parties came to an end when BJP called off the alliance with the National General Secretary Ram Madhav’s note who said that, “We formed the government three years ago. It was a fractured mandate in 2014. We then formed agenda of alliance with the PDP”.
