The result of the Bihar Board 12th, 2018 has been declared on the official website of Bihar board, www.biharboard.ac.in and students can check their result by using their examination roll number. Overall, 52.95% passed with girl emerging at the forefront and leaving the boys behind.
Kalpana Kumari who topped the All India NEET exam has also emerges as the state topper in science stream of the Bihar Board intermediate exam with the total marks of 434.In the Arts stream, Kusum Kumari stood up at the first position with 424 marks while Nidhi Sinha from RDS College, Muzaffarpur is the state topper in the commerce stream with 434 marks.
The pass percentage of overall student is 52.95%, which includes passing percentage for the science stream at 44.71%, 91.32% for commerce stream and 61.32% in the Arts stream.
As an encouragement, Bihar government has announced scholarship for the first five toppers who will be awarded Rs 1500 per month in the course of their graduation degree.
Along with the scholarship, Government will also give a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, a laptop and a Kindle e-reader for the first topper while Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000 with a laptop for the second and third topper respectively.
For the fourth and fifth topper, a cash prize of Rs 15,000 with a laptop will be awarded. This year, Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) took several steps to avoid cheating during exams as they have done individual physical verification included in the merit list.
