Kia motors, a South Korean automaker is finally official in India. Indian newest automotive manufacturer disclosed its full range of designs and engineering power at 2018 Indian auto expo.
The brand-new Kia SP concept is an SUV concept making it a global debut. The SP concept is somewhat similar to Hyundai Creta in size and likely to be in the same platform thereby getting the same internal bits as expected.
Kia motors will start the production and sales of its car in mid-2019. The new concept features here in a bright orange and white combination (as per the theme of the bright pastel colours of the Indian auto expo 2018). It gets a new edgy headlamp with two design elements – on the top a slimmer edgier running light and a larger illumination element on the bottom- that is bordered by the grille.
The SUV features wide wheel arches with larger wheels with a Two-tone design that looks like a well designed process and doesn’t gets a tag of forced on process.
“The SP concept SUV has been designed and developed for the Indian market”, Kia motors corporation president & CEO Ha-Koo said. He further added that the first of the product will be roll out from company’s plant in Andhra Pradesh and the investment includes USD 1 billion with a capacity of 3 lakh units annually.

Along with the new competitor in the market, the country’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki on Wednesday mark the launch of its ‘SUV like character’ concept of compact car which is somewhat similar to Binnenial Auto expo in greater Noida.
“Compact is the natural choice of the Indian’s car customer. Compact needs a fresh design language, one that is bold, confident and dynamic. Our designers have created this brand-new design, aggressive on the outside, and bold and inviting interiors”, Kenichi Ayukawa, Maruti Suzuki India managing director & CEO said during the launch of the vehicle at the expo.
Officially, the auto expo will be inaugurated tomorrow afternoon and will be open to public from February 9-14. As per the expectations, the customers will be more interested in compact vehicle design.
