Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan among world’s 100 highest paid celebs: Forbes

Bollywood superstars Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan are featured among the top 100 highest paid celebs according to a Forbes list which is topped by American Boxer Floyd Mayweather.

On the Forbes list of World’s highest paid celebrities, Akshay Kumar stood up at 76th rank while Salman Khan at the 82nd spot.

As per the reports, the combined earnings of all the top entertainers saw a hike of 22 per cent from the last year and stand at USD 6.3 billion earning while the earnings of 11 superstar collectively crossed the USD 100 million threshold which is more than the double from the last two years.

The estimated earnings of Akshay Kumar is 40.5 million and he is described by the Forbes as “one of the Bollywood’s leading men has transition to socially-conscious roles” by citing his work on films like Toilet: Ek Prem Katha which mainly focussed on improving sanitation conditions and Padman which revolves around providing cheap sanitary pads to the rural areas.

Apart from movies, Akshay kumar collected huge profits by endorsing about 20 brands.

The Tiger of Bollywood, Salman khan who stood up at 82nd spot had earnings of USD 37.7 million is also among the top earners by starring in the hit movies like Tiger Zinda Hai.

The top earner of the list is American Boxer Mayweather with 285 million dollars followed by actor George Clooney who is a reality TV star. Businessperson Kylie Jenner stood at third position while the soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo is at 10th position, Pop star Katy Perry at 19th and tennis rock star Roger Federer at 23.
